smallworld.js uses the HTML 5 canvas element to draw the maps themselves and can be used everywhere where geo-location information needs to be embedded on the page.
The rendered maps are static and they can be a much more lighter solutions to the highly interactive and very slow & bulky OpenStreetMap, Bing Maps, and Google Maps services.
GeoJSON information is plotted out as markers (dots) on the map, and the library supports showing multiple points on the same map.
Developers can control map colors for land and water, map center location, its zoom level, marker color, and marker size.
Lots of samples and official documentation is included with the smallworld.js download package, to help developers get started on creating their very own maps.
